| Construction: | Main section constructed in 1918 and has brick exterior. Original tar and gravel roof was replaced. Post and beam construction found throughout warehouse and office areas. Several offices found in front portion of building of various levels of quality and condition of finish. Wood paneling and plaster are typical wall materials with some wallpaper. Gas packs, baseboard heat, hanging gas heaters, and window air conditioning units are present in these areas of building.
At rear of building, an addition of a warehouse facility was completed in 1965. This section contains approximately 9,604 square feet. There are 2 overhead doors. Ceiling height is approximately 20 feet, and there is a drainage system in the concrete floor that is connected to city sewer. Skylights are in this section of building, and heating is by hanging gas heaters. The central portion of building has 3 levels. The basement, utilized for storage, has a sprinkler system. There is a freight elevator allowing access to the upper 2 levels. Wood floors and exposed post and beam construction are prevalent throughout this area. An underground gasoline tank is located at rear of building. A 6-foot chain link fence surrounds building. | |
