“If you’ve ever gotten an X-ray and had one of those heavy, protective aprons positioned in front of your body, chances are it was made by a business relocating from New York to Edgecombe County’s Fountain Industrial Park.

Founded in 1931, medical imaging company Wolf and Flow X-Ray will invest more than $4.5 million to create 68 new jobs as it relocates its headquarters and manufacturing operations from Deer Park, N.Y., about 40 miles east of New York City.

Wolf and Flow will be located in the former Blue Hawaiian building on Blue Horizon Drive in Fountain Industrial Park in the Battleboro community.

Carol Camiola, chief financial officer of Wolf and Flow X-Ray, told the Telegram that the move happened “because we wanted a better quality of life for our employees. We’re tired of the hustle and bustle and found North Carolina.”

“We are so excited to relocate to Battleboro and the City of Rocky Mount where we know our employees will have a better quality of life,” she said. “We are confident that with the help from the economic development teams and the local colleges that this project will be a great success for us all. We’re certainly looking forward to the nicer weather.”
